Intro to Tech
The Intro to Tech course introduces students to the world of technical diving. This course is designed as an introductory course to the TDI Advanced Nitrox course and the TDI Decompression Procedures Course. The objective of this course is to familiarize students with technical equipment configurations, to enhance open water diving skills (such as buoyancy, trim, and situational awareness), and to introduce students to advanced gas planning techniques within a no-decompression context.
• Course Duration: 2 days minimum + E-learning course online.
• Number of Dives: 3 dives minimum
Required Equipment: Single Backmount in technical configuration, Back Mount or Sidemount Tec Rig Using Double Cylinders
Technical Sidemount Diver
The TDI Sidemount course introduces students to the world of technical diving while utilizing sidemounted primary cylinders as an alternative to the traditional back-mounted configuration.
• Course Duration: 2 days minimum + Elearning course online.
• Number of Dives: 3 dives minimum
Required Equipment: Sidemount Tec Rig Using Double Cylinders
Technical Nitrox Diver
This is the entry-level certification course for recreational divers wishing to utilize enriched air nitrox (EAN) as a breathing gas. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for using nitrox mixes from 22 through 40 percent oxygen content.
• Open/confined water dives not required - Course price is $250. When combined with other courses a special price of $150 for the course is given.
Advanced Nitrox Diver
This course examines the use of nitrox 21 through 100 percent oxygen for optimal mixes to a depth of 40 metres / 130 feet. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for utilizing nitrox 21 through 100 percent oxygen for dives not requiring staged decompression.
• Course Duration: 2 days minimum + E-learning course online.
• Number of Dives: 4 dives minimum
Required Equipment: Back Mount or Sidemount Tec Rig Using Double Cylinders
Decompression Procedures Diver
This course examines the theory, methods and procedures of planned stage decompression diving. This program is designed as a stand-alone course or it may be taught in conjunction with Advanced Nitrox, Advanced Wreck, or Full Cave Course. The objective of this course is to train divers how to plan and conduct a standard staged decompression dive not exceeding a maximum depth of 45 metres / 150 feet. The most common equipment requirements, equipment set-up and decompression techniques are presented. Students are permitted to utilize nitrox mixes or oxygen for decompression provided the gas mix is within their current certification level.
• Course Duration: 3 days minimum + Elearning course online.
• Number of Dives: 4 dives minimum
• Max Depth: 45 meters/ 150 feet
Required Equipment: Back Mount or Sidemount Tec Rig Using Double Cylinders
Advanced Recreational Trimix / Trimix Diver / Advanced Trimix Diver
The Trimix courses provide the training required to competently and safely utilize breathing gases containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilizing nitrox and / or oxygen mixtures during decompression. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures of utilizing custom oxygen / helium / nitrogen mixtures as breathing gases.
• Trimix - Max Depth 60 metres / 200 feet
• Advanced Trimix - Max Depth 100 metres / 330 feet
• Course Duration: 4 days minimum + Elearning course online. (each course)
• Number of Dives: 4 dives minimum (Each Course)
Required Equipment: Back Mount or Sidemount Tec Rig Using Double Cylinders and rigging/regulators for multiple stages
